Dr. Mohamed Akl, Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery including help for urinary incontinence, painful, dropped or fallen bladder, rectocele, cystocele and other pelvic disorders.

Dr. Mohamed Akl is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowship trained in Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Akl completed four years of residency training in general Obstetrics and Gynecology at Hurley Medical Center affiliated with Michigan State University followed by an additional three years of fellowship training in urogynecology and pelvic reconstructive surgery at the renowned Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, one of the best training institutions in urogynecology, pelvic surgery, laparoscopic and da Vinci robotic surgery.

Dr. Akl is also interested in research and authored numerous publications in the field of urogynecology, pelvic reconstructive surgery. Dr. Akl presented numerous oral presentations in several national society meetings and he is an active member in the American Urogynecology Society and the American association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.

Outside of medicine Dr. Akl likes to enjoy the Arizona outdoor activities. He likes running, hiking and mountain biking. Dr. Akl likes to run the breast cancer, multiple myloma and the luminaria runs devoted for the schools of cave creek.

Outside of medicine, Krisette is involved in multiple volunteer programs such as SRP program (Thousand Points of Light community volunteers), the Patriot Guard Riders and Mayo clinic Feed the Homeless program. She also likes reading, camping, Coyotes Hockey and outdoor sports.

 

 

Danielle Patrick, Nurse Practitioner at Arizona Urogynecology

Danielle Patrick, Nurse Practitioner

Danielle completed her nurse practitioner program at the University of Phoenix.  She has a strong women’s health background and over thirteen years of experience as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in the East Valley. Danielle also has research experience in the field of women’s health and is a part time faculty member for the College of Health Sciences and Nursing at the University of Phoenix. Danielle joined AZ Urogynecology in 2011. She participates in the diagnosis, management, counseling, patient education and follow up of a variety of gynecologic and urogynecologic disorders.

Outside of medicine, Danielle is involved in charitable activities benefitting the United Way. She also likes staying active through exercise and travel. Danielle lives in the East Valley with her husband Shad and daughter Lauren.
